Quality Assurance Engineer

Main Duties

  • Develop and implement test plans to evaluate the performance, functionality, and reliability of Augvator’s AR-based construction guidance software.
  • Design and execute automated/manual test cases across multiple environments (desktop, mobile, AR devices, and cloud integrations).
  • Identify, document, and report bugs and defects in AR overlays, BIM integrations, and mobile app workflows, ensuring timely resolution by the development team.
  • Collaborate with software engineers and product teams to refine requirements and ensure features meet both technical specifications and user needs in construction settings.
  • Conduct stress, regression, and performance testing to validate platform stability under real-world job site conditions.
  • Develop and maintain quality documentation, including test scripts, test results, defect logs, and compliance reports.
  • Verify compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, ensuring AR software meets industry standards for accuracy, safety, and data integrity.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by recommending QA process enhancements, tools, and best practices tailored to AR/VR and construction software.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, OR completion of a college program in software quality assurance, information technology, or computer science.
  • 2+ years of experience in QA or software testing, preferably with SaaS or AR/VR solutions.
  • Proficiency in test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, or JUnit) and knowledge of QA frameworks.
  • Experience with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla, or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, including regression, load, and integration testing.
  • Familiarity with BIM systems, 3D modeling, or AR/VR frameworks is a strong asset.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
